DENTSPLY - Professional launches the next advance in anesthetic injections… Introducing the Comfort Control™ Syringe.
02/01/2001 After extensive research, development and testing, DENTSPLY / Professional is introducing a new and better alternative in anesthetic injections. The Comfort Control™ Syringe (CCS™) is an electronic, pre-programmed delivery system for local anesthesia that dispenses the anesthetic in a slower, more controlled and more consistent manner than a traditional manual syringe.
The Comfort Control™ Syringe has a two-stage delivery system. The injection begins at a slow rate to minimize the discomfort associated with rapid injection. After ten seconds, CCS™ automatically increases to the injection rate for the technique you have selected. There are 5 different injection rates to choose from that are pre-programmed into the CCS™ system.
The design of the CCS™ is such that it is easy to convert from a manual syringe while it allows you to benefit from administering a slower and more consistent injection. In addition, the CCS™ has these benefits:
* A digital panel displays the rate, elapsed time and amount of anesthetic delivered.
* All controls required to administer an injection are conveniently placed on the handpiece.
* The design of the syringe allows you complete visibility of the anesthetic cartridge at all times during an injection.
* CCS™ system utilizes any standard dental needle.
In short, the Comfort Control™ Syringe can make injections easier for the dental professional and more comfortable for the patient.
