DENTSPLY Professional Announces the Launch of Midwest e-Stylus
10/09/2003 Dentsply Professional announces the launch of the Midwest eStylus, its new Electric Dental Handpiece System. eStylus offers the dental professional a complete electric handpiece system excelling at highspeed, low speed and endodontic procedures. eStylus offers unprecedented flexibility, ease of use and information for the dental professional. And, eStylus retains the attractive, easy-to-clean styling and ergonomic features introduced in the Midwest Stylus Highspeed Air Handpiece.
eStylus offers powerful, smooth and quiet cutting power at speeds up to 200,000 RPM using the 1:5 speed increasing contra-angle. Fusion Optics(TM) bathe the work area in bright, clear light that won’t degrade during sterilization. Four-port water spray ensures excellent flushing and cooling during highspeed cutting and material removal procedures.
For low speed procedures up to 40,000 RPM eStylus offers a 1:1 contra angle. This attachment offers the same 4-port water spray and Fusion Optics found in the 1:5 attachment.
eStylus offers a revolutionary new feature for electric handpiece systems: a dedicated ENDO mode for rotary endodontic procedures. Using the 10:1 speed-reducing contra-angle, eStylus allows dentists to perform rotary endodontic procedures complete with Torque Limiting, Auto-Reverse and On-Off, constant speed control using their existing foot pedal.
All eStylus attachments work in conjunction with the innovative eStylus Controller. The wireless Remote Display and Control Unit displays true bur speed and allows the dentists to put the controls and display where they need them – right at their fingertips.
The eStylus control unit integrates easily into standard dental units allowing the dentist to use the existing foot pedal to control the handpieces. eStylus calibrates to the dental unit’s air pressure providing the dentist with the same speed-response to pedal pressure.
