Renee Graham, RDH, MEd
Renee’ Graham is the Southeast Clinical Educator for DENTSPLY Professional. Renee’ received a dental hygiene degree from Darton College and both a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master of Education degree from Valdosta State University. Renee’ brings 19 years of clinical experience in general and periodontal practices and 11 years of academic experience to the Division. For the past ten years, she has held the position of Director of Dental Programs at Valdosta Technical College in Valdosta, Georgia.
Renee’ has served as a site visitor for the Commission on Dental Accreditation since 2003 and has been very active with regional testing agencies, the Georgia Dental Hygiene Educators Association, and dental hygiene/ dental assisting curriculum development for the State of Georgia.

Gail Malone, RDH, BS
Gail Malone is a Clinical Educator for DENTSPLY Professional serving the Northeast Region of the US. She received her dental hygiene degree from Montgomery County Community College in Blue Bell, PA and completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene from Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, PA. Gail’s experience of more than 20 years in dentistry includes clinical practice, dental hygiene education, dental practice management and dental distribution.
Gail joined the DENTSPLY team after 12 years with Benco Dental Company, a major distributor of dental merchandise, equipment and service. Gail has developed and presented educational programs to dental and dental hygiene students, professional associations, dental societies and study clubs. Her focus is to provide dental professionals with current scientific research and information to assist them in implementing effective and efficient evidence based treatment protocols in their clinical practice.

Shirley Branam, RDH, MBA
Shirley is the Central Clinical Educator for DENTSPLY Professional. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Michigan and continued on to complete a Master of Business Administration degree in Health Care Management from the University of Phoenix. Shirley’s background includes over 20 years in clinical and educational experience in the dental assisting and dental hygiene professions. While a member of the University Of Michigan School Of Dentistry, she held various appointments including hygiene faculty member, staff hygienist in the Graduate Prosthodontic Clinic, and research coordinator assistant. Her areas of expertise include clinical dental hygiene, biomaterials, implants, local anesthesia, and nitrous oxide sedation. She currently lectures, national and internationally, for DENTSPLY Professional covering topics on ultrasonic instrumentation, anesthesia, caries risk assessment and implant maintenance.

Doreen Smeltzer, RDH, MEd
Doreen Smeltzer, RDH, MA. Ed. is a Clinical Educator for DENTSPLY Professional covering the Midwest Region of the U.S. She came to DENTSPLY with 21 years of clinical expertise and 10 years experience as a Dental Hygiene Educator. She is a graduate from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine holding a certification as a Dental Assistant and a registered Dental Hygienist. She received her bachelor’s degree from Edinboro University in education and a master’s degree from National Louis University in adult education. She also serves as an active Dental Hygiene Consulting Examiner for the North East Regional Board of Dental Examiners.
Doreen has developed and presented educational programs to dental and dental hygiene students, professional associations, dental societies and study clubs both nationally and internationally. Her focus is to provide dental professionals with current scientific research and information to assist them in implementing effective and efficient evidence based treatment protocols in their clinical practice.

Marie George, RDH, MS
Marie George currently serves as the Curriculum Coordinator and Clinical Educator in the MidAtlantic region for DENTSPLY Professional. She joined DENTSPLY in 2004 as the Clinical Education Manager for the Pharmaceutical division and transitioned to Clinical Education Manager for the Professional division with the 2006 merger. Marie has over 25 years of clinical experience, including general, periodontic, and hospital based practice. Prior to joining DENTSPLY, she held several appointments at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, including Assistant Professor of Dental Hygiene, Clinical Research Coordinator for the Department of Periodontics, and CE lecturer for the Department of Continuing Education. Currently, she maintains adjunct faculty status with the Department of Dental Hygiene.
Marie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from West Liberty State College 1983 and a Master of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from West Virginia University in 1995.

Leann R. Keefer, RDH, MSM
Leann is the Professional Relations & Educational Services Manager at Dentsply Professional. Early in her career, Leann practiced in a variety of professional settings including general, periodontal and ortho practices, and various public health clinical venues. During the 16 years she was an adjunct faculty member at Indiana University/Purdue University, Leann was also a health educator for a private foundation, educational representative for Teledyne Water Pik, and Director of Alumni Service at IU/Purdue. In 1998 she was named as Chairperson of the Dental Hygiene Program at the Community College of Denver. She held that position until joining Dentsply in June 2004.
Leann earned her degree in dental hygiene as well as her undergraduate degree in education from Indiana University. She was awarded a Masters Degree in Business Management from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Cindy Sensabaugh, RDH, BS
Cindy is the Manager of Clinical Education at Dentsply Professional. She received her Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from St. Petersburg Junior College in 1983 and her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida in 1995. She is currently enrolled in the Graduate Dental Hygiene program at the University of Missouri, Kansas City, School of Dentistry, Division of Dental Hygiene.
Cindy practiced dental hygiene for 12 years and was an adjunct clinical instructor at Valencia Community College for 2 years. For the past 13 years Cindy has been with P&G, in the Professional Oral Health organization, holding positions in sales, Market Strategy and Planning and Professional and Scientific Relations.
Through the years, Cindy has been active in her local and state levels of her professional association and has served as Vice-President, President-Elect, President and Editor of the Greater Orlando Dental Hygienists Association, her local component, as well as Central District Treasurer. She has also served as Secretary, Chair-Elect and Chair of the American Dental Education Association’s Section on Dental Hygiene Education.
Cindy has authored a CE course on www.dentalcare.com, two articles in Access, and an article in the Journal of Dental Hygiene, to be published in January. She has presented nationally and internationally to dental hygiene audiences.

Karen Hays, RDH, BS
Karen Hays, RDH, BS is the Western Clinical Educator for DENTSPLY Professional, presenting lectures on ultrasonic instrumentation, anesthesia, and implant maintenance. Karen has over 20 years of experience in dentistry, including teaching both clinical Dental Hygiene at Chabot Community College and Dental Assisting at Heald College. She has published articles and held local positions in the California Dental Hygiene Association. Karen graduated in 1985 from Gulf Coast Community College in Florida as a Certified Dental Assistant and in 1993 from Pensacola Junior College with an Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. She completed her bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene at University of Bridgeport Fones School of Dental Hygiene. Karen has developed and presented educational programs to dental and dental hygiene students, professional associations, dental societies and study clubs. Her focus is to provide dental professionals with current scientific research and information to assist them in implementing effective and efficient evidence based treatment protocols in their clinical practice.
